Resonance

United, we stand?

divided, we fall?

This is the common adage, you hear it again and again.....and again. And due the wrong understanding clouded around it, I have started to disagree with it. Because it needs to be understood at an inner level and not at the surface level. We the people have made about to create a world with "sameness" as the uniting factor rather than a world with "difference" as the uniting factor.

Union can only happen with different things. A Screw Bolt can't enter another Screw, they can't unite, but a Screw unites with the nut. If two hands must unite, the hands must orient in different positions to unite. Man unites with woman, not with man.

I am totally against the propaganda of unity through sameness. Here is a good analogy to bring out the idea that in the context of "sameness"... "united you fall, divided you stand".



If you have heard of the word "Resonance"...Mechanical resonance is the tendency of a mechanical system to absorb more energy when the frequency of its oscillations matches the system's natural frequency of vibration (its resonance frequency or resonant frequency) than it does at other frequencies. It may cause violent swaying motions and even catastrophic failure in improperly constructed structures including bridges, buildings, and airplanes a phenomenon known as resonance disaster.



So when soldiers are asked to march over a bridge, they break up their united "lockstep" marching rhythm into a disoriented marching style to make sure that bridge structure does not sway violently due to the effect of their amplified resonating marching over it.



So for survival, the soldiers must differ in their marching style, and they must be "inner" united in this understanding, that they must walk differently to remain standing.



So it is not about being united in the outer surface but rather to be united in your inner understanding of the reality of the world with all others.



As Bono says in his song, "We are one but not the same". This sentence changed my life at least. Bono says that that line did drop into his head from the heaven itself. I agree.
