Veteran actor Anupam Kher said: "My country gives me enough reasons to be a proud Indian even when I am disheartened at times. I love INDIA. Happy Independence Day."

"Free from prejudice, corruption. Free schooling, food, water, electricity and health care, this is my wish for my country this Independence day," actress Tisca Chopra said.
