Himmat karne waalon translation

Himmat karne waalon ki haar nahin hoti

Lehron se dar kar nauka paar nahi hoti

himmat karne waalon ki haar nahi hoti

Nanhi cheenti jab daana lekar chalti hai

chadhti deewaron par sau baar fisalti hai

Mann ka vishwas ragon mein saahas banta hai

chadh kar girna, gir kar chadhna na akharta hai

Akhir uski mehnat bekar nahi hoti

koshish karne waalon ki haar nahi hoti…

Dubkiyan sindhu mein gota khor lagaata hai

ja ja kar khaali haath laut aata hai

Milte na sahaj hi moti paani mein

behta doona utsaah issi hairaani mein

Mutthi uski khaali har baar nahi hoti

himmat karne waalon ki haar nahi hoti…

Asafalta ek chunauti hai sweekar karo

kya kami reh gayi dekho aur sudhaar karo

Jab tak na safal ho neend chain ki tyago tum

sangharshon ka maidaan chhodh mat bhago tum

Kuch kiye bina he jai jai kaar nahi hoti

himmat karne waalon ki haar nahi hoti.

- Harivansh Rai Bachchan

English translation

The boat that qualms the waves

Never gets across

The mind that dreads and dares

Has never been at loss

The tiny ant, when it carries the grain

Lays it up into the heights of the wall

Falls slipping a hundred times,

Just as it tries again

The faith in the mind

Stirs courage in the nerves

It soars and slips, then slips and soars again

Until its efforts have not been in vain

The diver who scrounges deep into the oceans

Comes bare in his fist a number of times

It is not so painless

Eachtime he delves to hit upon a pearl

Someday, when out of those deep seas he whirls

And in surprise, that his efforts have brought

Glad, for his fist is not empty everytime

And in him that seamless effort

herald a cheery chime

O’ accept the failures that cross your way

They are just the challenging mile-stones

And build from right here, where you fell

Until all the shortcomings cease,

And you soar in success

Burn restful sleeps in the sacrificial pyres

Until tireless struggles brought smiles of joy

Oh! Do not run away from the battlefields

For triumph always yields such joy

Just after relentless endeavours……….

Treatment for Laziness

Sometimes in life, we just find ourselves NOT moving ahead in life, so here are just 10+4 tips that might just help you.

Truly destroy that Lazy bugger within!

Treatment for Laziness

10 tips for the treatment of the mind

1. Start with something easy and little before you do anything serious. Value your time at all costs.

2. Think about at least getting one thing done properly in time and then work your way on from there.

3. People feel lazy when they are involved in usless unrealistic things. So do the real beneficial things.

4. Laziness is cumulative. Laziness can be countered when you have a target to aim for.

5. Print and abolish out a list of 20 common cunning alibis (a.ka. excuses for being lazy).

6. Enter the jail, yes the jail of productivity. Inside THE JAIL you go to do right away what you got to do.

7. Setting a timer kills the ever elusive preparation excuse. Setting a timer gets you right to work!

8. We all know the truth… the “preparation stage” to getting to work is another fine excuse.

9. Set a timer and work non-stop until it sounds. Never let go of the work until you have accomplished it.

10. Think about all the things that you will accomplish and the feeling of self satisfaction when it is done.

4 Tips for Physical treatment

1. Regular exercise makes a person active. It is a simplest way to rid oneself of the feeling of tiredness.

2. Lemon Juice, tea or coffee are beneficial in energizing. But avoid junk food. Try to enjoy nutritious food.

3. A hot perfumed bath will be effective in putting off the laziness. Wear clean clothes, use clean bed sheets.

4. Get up early and immediately drink something nice, and eat one good chocolate, or a cold apple.

"Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you"
- Khalil Gibran

Khalil Gibran, Age 15

Get well soon Bono

It tears blood out of my heart  to hear that my Bono had a spinal injury just about a week ago. He underwent an immediate spine surgery on 28th, and now he is on the road to recovery. Get well soon Bono. I need you, people need you, Bono you got to rock man.

All I can say is that, may your wife Ali be able to take care of you very very well. Yesterday only I was talking about you about how much I need you and while watching one of your videos on youtube, a sadness suddenly crept in. Yes, we are all connected by heart, I know this from all your song lyrics. I wish, I really wish that you were my direct friend. You are one of those good sons on the planet, I know many frustrated-people might laugh at your humanitarian activities and your honest feelings, but I think about your work with so much respect almost everyday. May all your pains heal your body to a higher level. I am a sciatica nerve injury victim myself, and I think that in the process of a spiritual inner transformation there is always a need for a neurological transformation. So Bono, it is a blessing. I see and know that you are going to be much greater by the day.  :)

from U2.com

Bono has now been discharged from Ludwig Maximilians-University (LMU) Hospital in Munich where he underwent emergency surgery on Friday, following a back injury. In order to fully recover, he is under doctor's orders to start a rehabilitation program and to recuperate for at least eight weeks.

Dr Muller Wohlfahrt confirmed, 'Bono suffered severe compression of the sciatic nerve. On review of his MRI scan, I realized there was a serious tear in the ligament and a herniated disc, and that conservative treatment would not suffice. I recommended Bono have emergency spine surgery with Professor Tonn at Munich's LMU University Hospital on Friday.'

Professor Tonn, who carried out the operation, added, 'Bono was referred to me by Dr Muller Wohlfahrt late last week with a sudden onset disease. He was already in severe pain with partial paralysis in the lower leg. The ligament surrounding the disc had an 8mm tear and during surgery we discovered fragments of the disc had traveled into the spinal canal. This surgery was the only course of treatment for full recovery and to avoid further paralysis. Bono is now much better, with complete recovery of his motor deficit. The prognosis is excellent but to obtain a sustainable result, he must now enter a period of rehabilitation'.

Dr Muller Wohlfahrt continued, 'We are treating Bono as we would treat any of our athletes and while the surgery has gone very well, the coming weeks are crucial for a return to full health. In the next days, he will start a light rehabilitation program, with increasing intensity over the next 8 weeks. In our experience, this is the minimum time.'

A 25 second video

Bono singing, crying and the crowd one with him.

Here is a must watch tribute video, made by a fellow Bono admirer,

it is one of the most touching tribute videos I will get to see in my life.

Great song for this tribute video,

it is "Run"  by Snow patrol, now the magic of it is that,

at around 03:50 the actual lyrics goes like this

"Slower slower

We don't have time for that, all I want is to find an easier way

To get out of our little heads"

But now in this video it sounds like

"Slower slower

We don't have time for that, Bono wants to find an easier way

To get out of our little heads"

Next Video: Bono on how to end extreme poverty?

This man has already achieved so much in life, he can just sit back and relax, his band has won the maximum number of grammys in world history, he has won a medal of honour from almost every country that he sings for, he has been given so many medals, but they don't satisfy him. He is a lil different from the other rockstars "do-gooders", he takes the extra pressure, balancing the sold-out tours with his humanitarian work, he works extra hard, and he has nice fresh ideas to help people, and he gets solid results, I don't know any other musician in the world history who has written such beautiful song lyrics, he is a genius.

He has achieved so much, but still he works very hard for others, he irritates the Presidents to give out billions of dollars to help the poor in other parts of the world. Such is the man! No body asked him to do it, he goes for it, there are many I know who laugh at him calling him a mother theresa types, but this rock star ain't into drugs or into porn or into some communal shit, he is a man on a mission with a simple vision, and he will count, he will be noted, these are the people who keep the world ticking and moving ahead, we relax and enjoy thanks to their working hard, but we should n't forget, for by watching such people we learn to take care of our people, of our very own, they give us an idea, a fresh new idea to challenge our own problems.

He is smart! He knows how to push the politicians to do the required things and he knows how to take the credit for it. In this next video, you will see the speech he makes after receiving the Liberty medal from Bush Senior, and if you follow his speech, you will see that he is playing smart. Whether the politicians like him or not, the methods that he uses on them can't keep them from not answering him.

One of those smart hearted men I know!

Here is a slide show made for a prayer by him

for the Presidental prayer breakfast meet.

Bob Marley - A servant of Jah

"on your way up, please take me up,
on your way down, don't let me down"

The heart is like a flower

"The heart is like a flower - unless it is open it cannot release its fragrance into the world. The fragrance of the heart is made up of the qualities and virtues of our spirit. Most of us have learned how to keep our heart closed in a world that would trample all over us if we let it. Being open hearted today seems to require tremendous courage. It is a courage which comes only when we realise that no one can hurt us, no matter what they say or do. They may hurt our body, but if we have realised we are spirit, nothing outside can touch us, if we so decide. Little by little, practice opening your heart to those you think have hurt you. Realise it wasn't them that hurt you, it was yourself. And it taught you not to trust and you closed your heart. A closed heart is in need of opening. And when you do, you will have begun to heal yourself."

- Rajneesh Chandra Mohan (Osho - my rascal saint)

Knock Knock Knocking on heaven's door

I was born in one country, brought up in another, and now living in another. And the topic of religion always comes up, front page of the newspaper, local politics, even at the dinner table, or when talking to friends. And I thought it would be nice if I could post my thoughts on Religion here, so that if anybody asks me about my honest views, all I need to do is to ask them to log on to this site link and read. So like that I can save lots of my energy and time and move ahead in life.

For those who want me to adore Jesus of Bethlehem

I love Jesus, he was a nice man. He was a human just like you and me. His major contribution to the house of religion is that he made the house into a universal palace. He made it have no borders, his life's work was of such a chain reaction level! After his work, the good news started seeping to all corners of the world. And obviously, he got heavy opposition, many wanted to kill him, but that was to be expected. Anybody who tries to reform anything for the better, should always expect much opposition. But the most sad part in the life of Jesus Christ was how his dearest disciples abandoned him when the authorities came to arrest him. All his disciples were no where to be found. And it is these same self-proclaimed cowards who later on wrote the four Gospels of Mathew, Luke etc. So how are we supposed to understand the teachings of the great friend Jesus from the Gospels of such type of disciples!

For those who want me to adore Mohammed of Mecca

I love Mohammed, he was a nice man. He was a human just like you and me. His major contribution to the house of religion is that he made the house complete, for he established the first universal living standard on which all other Religion standards will be based on, whichever the planet. And not only that, his life is heavily documented more than any other Religion man. So understanding him, by being like him, there is so much we can automatically gain in this life and as well as in the hereafter. And obviously, he got heavy opposition, many wanted to kill him, but that was to be expected. Anybody who tries to reform anything for the better, should always expect much opposition. But the most sad part about the life of Mohammed, happened immediately after he died, as soon as he passed away, war broke out on who should be the Caliph. Very few really tried to understand the teachings of Mohammed, in fact Mohammed mostly had very stupid followers, prior to his teachings, they were all busy doing stupid things. But as soon as he died, they started fighting again. And the fighting has been going on ever since. e.g. in the history of India, Babar a Mughal king when he invaded India in the name of Islam killed Ibrahim Lodi another man-in-the-name-of-Islam. The devout so-called Muslim Aurangazeb confined his own Muslim father under house arrest at Agra fort, his father Shah Jahan, the same man behind the Taj Mahal. Then Aurangazeb went on to fight with his brother the real heir and diminished all other brothers in order to to get the throne. After the tyranny, once his throne was established, he began his work to garner a devout Muslim image and establishes his devout religious outlooks. This is just an Indian example of Kings who lost the road. If you study the history of Arabia, you will find many more. And it is such self-proclaimed caliphates and their followers who later started giving their own stupid dictionary word interpretations to the Qu'ran verses which are highly allegorical, and some have even fabricated many sayings as to be authentic Hadiths of Mohammed or twisted them to confirm to their stupidities. Yes, since they could not change the words of the Qu'ran, being a recorded document, the only option left was to change the very dictionary meaning of the Qu'ran words in a subtle manner to suit their stupid agendas. So how are we supposed to understand the teachings of the great friend Mohammed from the commentaries and interpretations that these deluded people have imposed on the Qu'ran!

For those who want me to adore Krishna of Mathura

I love Krishna, he was a nice man. He was a human just like you and me. His major contribution to the house of religion is that he made the house into a palace of leela - a cosmic drama that is run by nothing but the divine will. Krishna was born enlightened, how and why! I say by divine will! He did so much to raise the people's consciousness from the level of worshiping idols to becoming "Brahman", a state where a person becomes totally surrendered and one with creation, a state of fundamental consciousness. Billions of people will benefit/have benefited/are benefiting from his Gita speech. And obviously, Krishna got heavy opposition, many wanted to kill him right from day one including his own blood relation uncle, in fact, it is noted that his elder siblings were killed as soon as they were born in order to kill him, but that was to be expected. Anybody who is born to reform anything for the better, should always expect much opposition. But the most sad part about the life of Krishna, just happened before he died. Krishna had his kingdom in Dwarka, his people were known as the Yadavas, but his people rarely listened to him, they used to get drunk, do all kind of nonsense and naturally they ended up fighting among themselves and Krishna had to see his Yadava kingdom perishing before his own eyes. He was such a multi faceted character that, I am sure that naturally he is and will always be the most difficult person to understand for a lay man's understanding for some time to come. In fact, it is noted, that Krishna says in the Gita, that very few will be able to understand him, he says that many so called religious people will talk so much about the state of "Brahman", but they know not of what the state of  "Brahman" really is. So how are we supposed to understand the teachings of the great friend Krishna from the commentaries and interpretations that these deluded people have super imposed on the Gita!

For those who want me to adore Rama of Ayodhya

I love Rama, he was a nice man. He was a human just like you and me. His major contribution to the house of religion is that he made the house into a world of honour, code and virtue. A man who cared so much about keeping his word, he was a man of Honor, a good politician and he loved his people and cared for their sentiments so dearly, even today many people use the word "Ram Rajya" to signify a golden age. As a young man he traveled the country to understand the state of affairs, and he eventually ended up in a state of dispassion and that's when his father the king Dasartha arranged him a Sage called Vassistha, who confirmed Rama with the truths that were boiling inside him. The truths of the reality of the divine will. Rama was a man of great principle and code. In fact it is noted that our Mahapolatma, Gandhi was a big fan of his, Gandhi tried to emulate his qualities. Ram has a direct influence in Gandhi who in turn influenced people like Martin Luther King of USA, Nelson Mandela of South Africa and Aung San Suu Kyi of Myanmar. Ram obviously, being a man of great honour and code would have to face the challenges of life head on, he had to undergo the shame of his wife being kidnapped by a demon-maniac called Ravana! The whole Ramayana is about how Rama finally gets to kill the stupid Ravana and rescues his wife with the help of his brother Lakshman and his friends like Hanuman. But the most sad part about the life of Rama, was that life never really allowed him to enjoy his life with his one wife Sita. As the life story goes that Sita was kidnapped once by Ravana and later rescued, a washerman in Rama's kingdom was overheard saying to his wife, while berating his wayward wife, that he was "no pusillanimous Rama who would take his wife back after she had lived in the house of another man". This statement was reported back to Rama, who knew that the accusation of Sita was baseless. Nevertheless, he would not let slander undermine his rule, so he drove a pregnant Sita out of his kingdom. Rama was ready to sacrifice his life with his wife just for the sentiments of a silly washerman of his kingdom, such was his sensitivity to his people. But look how the people of his kingdom respected him and his wife in return! The very same people who lived under his benevolent rule were at the same time making him live a loneliness.

So how are we supposed to understand the conduct of the great friend Rama from the commentaries and interpretations that are made by the sons and daughters of these ungrateful people who praise Ram and do Harm!

For those who want me to adore Buddha of Lumbini

I love Buddha, he was a nice man. He was a human just like you and me. His major contribution to the house of religion is that he made the house into a world of logic-in-love. He was the everest in terms of understanding the reality of the divine will in terms of logic that was deeply engulfed in love.......

(Well I am stopping this list here for now, there are too many great people to talk about. I will keep updating this page with time, there is so many great stars to stare upon, stars like Adi Shakara, Zarathustra, Mahavira, Abraham, Daniel, Lao Tzu, Rinzai.....)

As a brief conclusion and suggestion

All these great human beings should not be worshiped! Please! Instead try to understand them and be like them! And the only way to understand their teachings and scriptures is to care for the world with absolutely no inhibitions, once you begin to do that, obviously you will suffer greatly and thankfully the incoming pain will unearth out a divine Dictionary of words. And it is only by using this Dictionary that a person can understand the reality of the divine will! Knock Knock Knocking on heaven's door.

Violent hero

Sometimes, I used to wonder: if war is such a bad thing for the masses, how come we have so many block buster hit movies on mutual killing! Why is it that we the people enjoy these murder movies. We the people, we have enjoyed it, have we not! There is an element in us that gets gratified when we see such movies. We love the Rambo, we love the Commando. I think it's for sure, there is a great need in the people to expel out their subconscious anger, they find great solace in such death-packed movies and video games. Same applies to wars, we have had thousands and thousands of wars in the last few centuries, we just wanted to kill someone or maybe see someone being killed. And we keep quiet in the subconscious fear. And once we have created the self-imposed fear, then we start looking for safety from the unknown enemy and the old story repeats.

Rambo and Commando killed the bad guys, oh yeah!

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword."

- The Bible Mathew 10:34

"And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith."

- Qu'ran 2:191

Krishna and Rama being war heroes, I do not need to quote on them.

Zarathustra, Buddha and Mahavira being the only exceptions.

So that's how it is! War has a role to play in our lives.

So does that mean that I should start resorting to violence! Because violence is the easy way out, you don't have to inhibit any anger inside you, you don't have to accidentally share it with your loved ones, no danger of any pyschosomatic pains, all you need to do is to go eye for an eye, is it not! Will that work?

Suppose somebody abuses me, so should I abuse him back ten fold because I can? Or if he slaps me, in return, should I over power him, torture him, make him kneel and kiss my feet? If he is physically stronger, then should I arrange men or use my head to play politics to get the enemy guy in deep pain or black mail his family? It's very easy to kill a person, a knife and some force, done, the guy is dead.

Does this violence methodology really work! This method has been going on and on for ages? Was it ever the solution for the better!

Yeah, our action heroes, now old,
I enjoyed their work too!

But Violence is an expression, it is very much a part of nature, see a lion pounce on a deer, see a lizard grab an insect. So violence is very much there. In fact to me, in a deeper and more true context, Zarathustra, Mahavira and Buddha were the most violent of all men. They did not fight against ordinary mortal little men with muscles and weapons, they were VIOLENT against VIOLENCE itself. But to us deluded minds, our idea of violence is such a subtle thing, it has no physicality. So when we fight with VIOLENCE itself, we don't see the RETURNS in a physical sense, and that's not fun right! We want blood! Then the media should take pictures indeed and write about it, discuss and debate, get television time of the people, put some adverts in between.

We just love to see our movie men Will Smith killing the bad aliens, shooting them down, bang bang, bad aliens die die die! Avatar was an interesting movie, because in it, we the humans were the bad aliens in another planet. We were the bad ones extracting life out of others. And an Avatar-man had to save the day. James Cameron did have a good script going on there, I used have the same script idea too in my mind. He did it first!

Mahapolatma Gandhi might be either one of the most misunderstood men or say one of the most cunning of men, I must say, people have used his face as an icon to suppress violence all the way. Suppression of violence has never helped, for it has to explode someday. Whereas indulging in violence creates a chain reaction of violence and that has never helped. A total amnesty, a total transcending above the violence is what is called for.

I am against Violence as well as Non-Violence. I repeat, I AM VIOLENT AGAINST both VIOLENCE AND NON VIOLENCE and VIOLENT against NO OTHER IDEA or LIVING BEING.

But how to fight violence? How to fight non-violence? These are the big root questions. I will just keep the answers to myself, I am still working on them alright!

Understanding!

Verily, a man hath performed prayers, fasts, charity, pilgrimage and all other good works; but he will not be rewarded except by the proportion of his understanding.
- A great Arabian master

Hallelujah here she comes

I see you're dressed to kill

I know I can't wait until
Hallelujah here she comes

I see you're dressed in black
I guess I'm not coming back
Hallelujah here she comes

Born and raised
On the wrong side of town
You get so high
That you can't come down

Yeah

I see the road is rough
You know I'm not giving up
Hallelujah here she comes

I know where the lady goes
I know she got a ring on her toes
Hallelujah here she comes

I'm gonna be there
When that light's gonna shine
I'm gonna be there
When her heart is next to mine
I'm gonna be there

High on, high on, high on love

- U2

Love is a verb and never a noun

I say, "Love is a continous verb and never was and shall never be a noun". And to describe this loving feeling, the surest and the most unique glimpse that we can have of this cosmic feeling is the feeling we get of what it feels like for a man to love a woman.

So here I wish to share with you this song by Lionel Richie and Enrique, this powerful song: Man it could send shivers up a man's spine for if the man ever had a chance to live the lyrics of the song. Enjoy the men's voice, rejoice! And do watch the awesome video appended, the face expressions say so much, like the petals of a flower blowing around in the wind of uncertainty.

To Love a Woman - Lionel Richie and Enrique Iglesias

ENRIQUE:
I don't know what it is, but she drives me crazy!
I don't know what she does, but she drives me wild!
I know that she can let me be the man that I want to be,
Or she can leave me helpless as a child.

LIONEL:
I don't know how it is, but she has the power.
She can make me laugh when I want to cry.
She tells me that I'm in control, but I know it's just a lie.

TOGETHER:
And I don't mind, no!

Will she love you tomorrow like she loves you today?
She can keep your heart guessing,
But she's yours if she stays.
That's what if feels like to love a woman.
To love a Woman.

ENRIQUE:
When you're lookin' in her eyes you can see forever.
(forever)
You're captured by the beauty of her soul.
(oh, yea)

LIONEL:
You know you're never gonna find a woman like this again,

TOGETHER:
So don't let go. (don't let go!)

Will she love you tomorrow like she loves you today?
She can keep your heart guessing,
But she's yours if she stays.
And that's what if feels like to love a woman.
Oh, to love a Woman.

Oh, she can make your day.
Oh, she can take it all away (take it all away)
Oh, whether it is wrong or right
you know that it in the end, you'd do it all again
To love a woman.
Just to love a woman.
mmm - hhhmmm

oh, you know
Yes I know, Yes I know

Will she love you tomorrow like she loves you today? (when she loves you)
She can keep your heart guessing,
But she's yours if she stays. (who knows if she'll stay?)
And that's what if feels like (oh, I wanna say)
That's what it feels like (what it feels like)
And that's what it feels like to love a woman.
To love a Woman.
Oh yea, just to love a woman.

there is always something new to learn,

and yeah after I master it,

I think that I know something,

yeah I think I am something someone,

but just then,

the day passes,

a new day dawns in,

and

VoilĂ !

 a better something turns up,

again to be learned anew.

And the process keeps going on and on...

So was I really something haha?

Did I really know something hehe?

So what do I know hoho?

I know nothing.

I am nothing.

Zero.

"There are only two things. Truth and lies. Truth is indivisible, hence it cannot recognize itself; anyone who wants to recognize it has to be a lie."

- Franz Kafka

To all my blog readers

I wish to go personal now,

planning to save my thoughts for my diary now,

I promise to share it all with you later on.

A new inward journey begins today.

Take care.

Take you there

The songs are in your eyes
I see them when you smile
I've seen enough

I'm not giving up on a miracle drug.

Of science and the human heart
there is no limit,
there is no failure here sweetheart
just when you quit...
I am you and you are mine
Love makes no sense of space
and time...will disappear
Love and logic keep us clear
Reason is on our side, love...
