The Hurricane (1999) : The Movie
This film tells the story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, an African-American man who rose above his troubled youth to become a top contender for the middle-weight boxing title. However, his dreams are shattered when he is accused of a triple murder, and is convicted to three natural-life terms. Despite becoming a cause célèbre and his dogged efforts to prove his innocence through his autobiography, the years of fruitless efforts have left him discouraged. This changes when an African-American boy and his Canadian mentors read his book and are convinced of his innocence enough to work for his exoneration. However, what Hurricane and his friends learn is that this fight puts them against a racist establishment that profited from this travesty and have no intention of seeing it reversed. "I'm innocent. I've committed no crime. A crime's been committed against me."

Thanks to this movie, I got to know about the great singer/lyricist called Bob Dylan, he ain't that famous in India, and so it's all thanks to this song that he wrote for Rubin Carter, such a rebel song, just gave me the chills, really amazing, one of the best!
I wish India too had such rebel rock/folk artists. We have heaps of commercial/melody/glamour voice boxes in our trucks. We really need the thinker-types/justice-lyricists who are man/woman enough to stand up to the pseudo in the system.
Or at least for once, we need to talk to the future A R Rahmans, Adnan Samis, Asha Bhosles, Shubha Mudgals, Sonu Nigams, Lucky Alis, and Shaans to do something that could boil up/wake up the humanhood in the human, for something that is beneficial and real for once please! So here, let me share with you one of the best songs of our age.

Hurricane by Bob Dylan : The Song
"Pistols shots ring out in the barroom night
Enter Patty Valentine from the upper hall
She sees the bartender in a pool of blood
Cries out "My God they killed them all"
Here comes the story of the Hurricane
The man the authorities came to blame
For something that he never done
Put him in a prison cell but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.

Cries out "My God they killed them all"
Here comes the story of the Hurricane
The man the authorities came to blame
For something that he never done
Put him in a prison cell but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.
Now all the criminals in their coats and their ties
Are free to drink martinis and watch the sun rise
While Rubin sits like Buddha in a ten-foot cell
An innocent man in a living hell
That's the story of the Hurricane
But it won't be over till they clear his name
And give him back the time he's done
Put him in a prison cell but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world."

Must watch:
NO HUMAN BEING SHOULD BE INCARCERATED OR PUT TO DEATH
FOR A CRIME THEY DID NOT COMMIT!
