My new seashell Asus Eee pc notebook: Here is my review

The notepad looks very good and appeasing to me and the keypad is very nice to use, plus it is the lightest notebook in the market, aroung 1.2 kg. The price tag they gave me was 14,800/-
I know the RAM is less, only 1 GB, but I do have the option to add one more GB. So that would be great enough, as I am using this for a travel laptop, office on the run functionality which suits my work fantastically.
This notebook belongs to the award winning 1015 series. See here But the same laptop has a different code in India R051PX BLK007S, at least that is what the shop customercare dude told me. Well, the configuration was pretty set, I wanted a black one, I bought the seashell model, and so I went for the kill...I mean bill.
And yes, the Eee tag printed above the screen on the right side upper corner stands for "Easy to learn, Easy to work, Easy to play". I agrEee. I can take it anywhere. But yes must be careful not to get water on it, my other compaq laptop keyboard got fried some months back.
Asus was a new name to me, my sister quickly retorted, she has never heard of it in India, my dad thought it was some assembly workshop company in India, but the shopkeepers told me that it was a seasoned mother board company and in fact it was this company that was the first to launch the notebook in the world market. It is a Taiwan company with a revenue of $18.5 Billion in 2009 with more than a lakh employees, so that's good enough for me. And yes there site does provide some good services too.

I forgot to tell you, it has 3 USB provisions, a light charger device , Bluetooth functionality and wifi too. Lots of good short buttons that come in handy. The only set back was the OS Starter Edition Win 7 had limited features, thats the software. But the hardware is good to use. I am a happy Asus user.
Meaning of 6 cell or 9 cell battery, the battery contains six cells, and each cell has a fixed capacity like say of 2.2 ampere hours. These cells are then connected in series which means the battery has around 18 volts. When running, the laptop consumes about 200 milliamperes when on the battery, so the user gets about 10 hours of running time at most. The voltage output from a laptop battery is between 10 volts and 20 volts so a 9-cell or 12-cell laptop battery is likely to be nickel-based, as each cell produces 1.2 volts. Multiply this 1.2 volts and you get what a laptop needs, which is the typical voltage a laptop uses whereas the voltage from a lithium-based cell is around 3.6 volts, meaning that far fewer cells are required to produce the same voltage as nickel-based batteries.
